A man has been charged after a supermarket worker was stabbed inside a Heron Foods store in Birmingham.
The victim suffered a knife wound to his stomach during a robbery at the store on Heathland Avenue on Thursday morning, February 5.
West Midlands Police said Reece Allen, 31, from Birmingham, had been charged with robbery, theft from shop, wounding, possessing a knife in a public place and common assault of an emergency worker.

He was due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, February 9.

In a statement, police said: “A man has been charged after a shop worker was stabbed in #ShardEnd on Thursday.
“Reece Allen, aged 31 and from Birmingham, has been charged with robbery, theft from shop, wounding, possessing a knife in a public place and common assault of an emergency worker.

“He has been remanded in custody to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court today.
“This comes after the shop worker, a man, sustained a knife wound to his stomach during a robbery at a store on Heathland Avenue on Thursday morning.”
