An Edinburgh flight bound for Cyprus was diverted to a European city due to a ‘passenger welfare issue’ on Saturday afternoon.
The easyJet flight EZY3317 left the Scottish capital just after 1pm on May 3 and was set to land in Paphos just before 8pm.
However due to the incident the passengers were diverted to Pristina in Kosovo and arrived at their final destination around 9.30pm.

According to a live update on easyJet’s website, the airline apologised for the diversion and said the reasoning is ‘considered to be an extraordinary circumstance’.
A statement released at the time reads: “We’re very sorry that your flight has now been diverted. This is due to a passenger welfare issue.
