Birmingham City team news before the FA Cup fourth round tie against Leeds United on Sunday, February 15 (12pm)

Birmingham City have welcomed back Demarai Gray from injury, but they lost influential midfielder Paik Seung-ho during Tuesday’s draw with West Bromwich Albion.
Paik is now a doubt for this weekend’s FA Cup fourth round clash against Leeds United after suffering a recurrence of the shoulder injury he sustained against Middlesbrough in November. On that occasion, Paik was patched up to return in under three weeks.
Blues manager Chris Davies will face the media on Friday afternoon to bring us up to speed on Paik’s condition and that of the club’s other injured players.

Paik Seung-ho
Injury: Shoulder
Paik landed awkwardly on his patched up shoulder in Tuesday’s draw with Leeds United and had to be replaced.
The midfielder first injured his shoulder against Middlesbrough in November and he has played without incident until now. Blues boss Davies hopes that Paik is able to play in the club’s remaining fixtures.
He said: “It’s that shoulder again and it’s concerning because he’s a massive player. It’s obviously very painful to experience getting your shoulder like that again.
“We will have to see how he is and what exactly it means because it’s the second time that it’s happened now.”
Jack Robinson
Injury: Hamstring
Robinson tightened up in the second half of Blues’ FA Cup victory over Cambridge United in January and asked to be substituted.
The experienced defender stepped off the field and has missed Blues’ last six games as a result.
It is hoped that Robinson will be able to return to training before February is over.
Alex Cochrane
Injury: Ankle
Cochrane was virtually ever-present in his first season at Blues but he has had niggles to contend with this season. The left-back has been absent since the New Year’s Day defeat to Watford and isn’t likely to play again until April.
Davies said: “With Alex, my understanding is that the last month of the season is when we can think of him.”
Ethan Laird
Injury: Hamstring
Laird hasn’t featured since sustaining a hamstring injury in the defeat to Coventry on September 27.
Davies has suggested Laird is due to return to team training this month after a high grade hamstring injury.
“Ethan Laird is step by step moving forward, hopefully he can start training and being with everyone again in February.”
Lee Buchanan
Injury: Knee
Buchanan is now 13 months into his recovery and has recently started light training. The signing of Kai Wagner had solved Blues’ shortage at left-back but Cochrane’s injury means Buchanan might be needed in the second half of the season.
Buchanan has been named in Blues’ squad for the second half of the Championship season.
Davies said: “It’s been such a long injury that you’ve got to be cautious with that but we hope Lee can get up to speed. He would need a few under-21s games to build.”
