The iconic musical Billy Elliot is coming back to theatres around the country. Starting this year, the inspiring story, set in a northern mining town in 1984/5, will take up residency in four theatres.
Included in this line-up is over a month of shows at Manchester’s Palace Theatre. Billy Elliot tickets will be released on March 9, 2026, at 10am
Here, the on-stage adaptation of the 2000 film will take up residency from December 2, 2026 to January 9, 2027. Billy Elliot will also be shown in Sunderland, Edinburgh and London. And it’s going to be a production to remember.

Billy Elliot tickets for London will be available from LW Theatres.
Billy Elliot the Musical will be brought to life by the multiple award-winning creative team behind the film. This line-up includes playwright Lee Hall, director Stephen Daldry and choreographer, Peter Darling.
The show’s score, meanwhile, has been composed by the legendary Elton John. This includes such songs as \u0010Expressing Yourself and Electricity.
Speaking out about the newly-announced production, composer Elton John and director Stephen Daldry said: “Creating Billy Elliot the Musical was one of the most joyous and inspiring moments of our careers, so to bring the show back for a UK tour and a season in the West End for the first time in over a decade is both incredibly emotional and exciting.
“It’s bold, it’s British, it’s full of heart and the story feels more relevant than ever. We can’t wait for a whole new generation to experience it!”

Billy Elliot tickets will be released on March 9, 2026, at 10am. These tickets will be available to everyone who wants to purchase them.
With that said, tickets for Manchester, Sunderland and Edinburgh will only be available from ATG Tickets. Tickets for London will be on sale from LWTheatres.
