Team USA’s Group C matchup with Germany is a measuring-stick game after two wins that have looked better on the scoreboard than in the details.
The Americans opened the Milan-Cortina tournament with a 5-1 win over Latvia, then needed a strong response after a shaky first period to pull away from Denmark 6-3.
Now they face a Germany team that already beat Denmark 3-1 and brings more top-end punch, led by Leon Draisaitl and Tim Stutzle, plus a structured blue line anchored by Moritz Seider. The Germans lost 4-3 to Latvia yesterday.
With the quarterfinal path coming into focus, Team USA will to continue to win face-offs, a key to their goal-scoring opportunities the past two games.
Follow along for live updates, scores and highlights as USA meet Germany at the 2026 winter games.
