A decades-old retailer has announced it will temporarily close its Glasgow city centre store.
Nevisport on Sauchiehall Street will shut its doors to undergo a refurbishment.
A sign on the shop’s window revealed the news. It read: “Closing down for refurbishment. Everything must go.”

(Image: Newsquest) The retailer was founded in 1970 by climbers Ian A Skyes MBE and Ian D Sutherland.
The duo created the brand after being ‘dissatisfied’ with the ‘poor selection’ of climbing equipment in UK stores.

After that, the pair opened their first Nevisport store in Fort William and then opened their second store in Glasgow several years later.
