Ruben Amorim singled out two Manchester United players for what he spotted during the Premier League match against Brentford on Sunday afternoon.
Mason Mount opened the scoring for the Red Devils inside 15 minutes before Manchester United conceded after Luke Shaw put the ball in his own net.
Kevin Schade put Brentford 2-1 up against United in the 33rd minute and the Bees held onto their advantage until the half-time whistle in the Premier League clash.
Thomas Frank’s men put United on the back foot after Kevin Schade completed his brace in the 70th minute before Yoane Wissa added Brentford’s fourth of the tie.
United fought back against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium and Alejandro Garnacho pulled one back in the 82nd minute with a stunning strike.
Amad Diallo climbed off the bench in the second half and the 22-year-old Ivorian winger netted United’s third against Brentford deep into injury time.
However, Ruben Amorim’s men were unable to find an equaliser and Thomas Frank’s side sealed all three Premier League points in their 4-3 win.
United languish in 15th place in the Premier League table and the Red Devils have only three league matches remaining in their disastrous 2024-25 league campaign.

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim rotated his squad for the defeat to Brentford and youngster Tyler Fredricson came into the Red Devils defence.
Tyler Fredricson started as the right-sided centre-back in Amorim’s tactical system for United and the 20-year-old defender picked up valuable first-team minutes.
The United centre-back played 76 minutes on Sunday afternoon and Amorim withdrew him and replaced him with Victor Lindelof in the 4-3 defeat.
Fredricson has come through the United youth academy and the United talent has been brought into the Red Devils first team under Amorim this season.
Speaking after the result at the Gtech Community Stadium, Amorim said that Amad Diallo needed to help Fredricson out after Kevin Schade scored Brentford’s third.
“It’s really important. They have to understand in this season, this season is really important, and also to understand that we cannot do this anymore,” he explained, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“Of course, we know the context, but this kind of season, we need to change that. They need to understand what it is to play for Manchester United.
“I think they did really well. They are not playing so much, but then they have to play 90 minutes because we have to change some other players to save them for Thursday.
“And I think we can help even more the young kids, especially Tyler [Fredricson]. He did quite well but for the third goal he needs more help from Amad.
“So, with these small things I think we can help them more, but I’m really happy with the performance of the young kids.”
Ruben Amorim’s true feelings on Man Utd’s Premier League performance vs Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium
Amorim admitted that he once again spotted United’s failure to ‘control’ the pace of the match against Brentford and they were exposed by throw-ins and set pieces.
“I think it’s a little bit of a reflection of our season,” he said.
“We start quite well, controlling the game, not creating big chances, but controlling the pace of the game.
“We suffer a lot with the throw-ins and set pieces, but we already knew that our team would struggle against this team because we didn’t have the height [that] will be necessary for this kind of game.
“They score twice in these kind of moments, even with Matta [Matthijs de Ligt] on the floor.
“And then in the second half, I felt that we were near the draw, and then we suffered a goal and, like some other times, we disconnect. And then another goal a few minutes later.
“And then we push forward, try to score, we scored twice, but we didn’t have the time to do better.”
United have now suffered 16 league defeats from 35 matches and the Red Devils will end the season with their worst finish in the table in the Premier League era.
