Birmingham City’s Tomoki Iwata

Tomoki Iwata and Jack Robinson have trained for Birmingham City in the build-up to Saturday’s game against in-form Norwich.

Blues make the long jaunt to Carrow Road to take on a Canaries side that have hit form under Philippe Clement to win seven of their last eight matches.

Chris Davies could be boosted by the returns of Iwata and Robinson after the pair were able to take part in training at the Elite Performance and Innovation Centre in Henley-in-Arden this week.

Iwata missed Sunday’s FA Cup exit to Leeds United in order to manage some issues that have appeared following the gruelling festive period which saw him play every minute.

Robinson, meanwhile, hasn’t played since sustaining a hamstring injury in the FA Cup triumph over Cambridge United last month.

“Tomoki has been training fully,” Blues boss Davies revealed at his pre-Norwich press conference. “Jack has been training fully as well.”

Japanese striker Kyogo Furuhashi could miss this weekend’s game with an injury.

Davies added: “Kyogo picked up a knock and we’ll have to see how he goes in the next day or so.”
