The best Chinese restaurants and takeaways in Merseyside have been chosen by ECHO readers. Chinese New Year officially began Tuesday, February 17, with celebrations taking place until the Lantern Festival on Tuesday, March 3.

To celebrate the Year of the Horse, the ECHO asked its readers to share some of their favourite Chinese restaurants. Dozens of people have got in touch to share their favourites, as well as naming the best dish to order in every establishment.

As the search continues, the ECHO has shared the names of some of the venues with multiple votes chosen so far. We will share the overall winner next week as celebrations continue.
