If you’re trying to make your way in the DMV’s entrepreneurial and tech worlds, you’re in luck.
DC and its surrounding counties in Maryland and Virginia overflow with movers and shakers eager to make introductions or connect people with resources. Each year, Technical.ly spotlights at least 20 of these leaders making a difference in the region, whether by hosting a meetup, running an accelerator or creating opportunities for others to thrive.
This is our sixth RealLIST Connectors feature in the DMV. This latest cohort joins more than 100 individuals collectively recognized in 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020.
In a region full of networkers and passionate professionals, whittling the roster down to 20 proved difficult. To compile this list, we solicited nominations from readers, combed through our archives and, of course, stalked prospects on LinkedIn.

Methodology: To build RealLIST Connectors, Technical.ly’s editorial team assesses factors including current role, volunteer experience, participation in community programming, lasting impact on the region and more. We ask each connector candidate to complete a survey to help us understand and verify these factors, and we only include people that have responded.
