A woman has been charged in connection with an attack in Oldham. Police had been called to reports of an assault at an address on Coleridge Road in the Sholver area on February 21.

Witnesses told the Manchester Evening News there was a significant police presence, including forensic teams, at the scene following the incident.

Emma Jade Thomas, aged 30, has since been charged with S47 assault, attempted criminal damage and two counts of assaulting an emergency worker. She will next appear in court on March 31.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “A 30-year-old woman has been charged in relation to an ongoing investigation into an assault at an address on Coleridge Road, Oldham on 21 February 2026.

“Emma Jade Thomas, 30, of Oldham, has been charged with section 47 assault, attempt criminal damage and two counts of assaulting an emergency worker.

“She appeared today (Monday 23 February 2026) at Tameside Magistrates’ Court and has been bailed to next appear at Tameside Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 31 March 2026.”
