A mum-of-three from Stockport has complained of lengthy queues and ‘unsafe’ conditions when she took her three children to Bubble Plant Experience last week.
Bubble Planet Experience Manchester opened earlier this month at Depot Mayfield in Manchester city centre, close to Piccadilly Station. The immersive experience features 10 themed rooms, and it is set to remain open until August.
During the half-term holidays, a mum from Stockport, Greater Manchester, who wishes to remain anonymous, took her three children to Bubble World on Wednesday, February 18, along with her sister and her two children.

Despite making a timed booking, the mum said she was left waiting in lengthy queues to enter the venue, and made the decision to leave after visiting just one room.

After complaining to the organisers, the mum allegedly received a generic response, so she went to her bank directly to obtain a refund.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, the mum-of-three said: “We had booked a slot for 12.15pm, but despite booking a slot we still had to wait outside, where it was freezing cold. We stood outside for around 15 minutes even though it was our time to go in.
“We got through reception, and went into the first room but immediately at the door of the first room was a queue for the door of the second room. So you went in, it was absolutely manic, it was packed, there was no room for your kids to move.
“It’s unsafe really. There were people everywhere. At first we said let’s move into the room, not realising it was a queue. Everyone around us was gobsmacked.”
The mum from Stockport continued: “A lady stood near us had autistic children who were visibly distressed. We decided to go out to speak to a manager who was pleasant enough.
“We asked if the queues are the same across all the rooms and he said yes, so we decided to leave.”
She added: “There was also one toilet in the whole place, which had a huge queue.”

She said that she later complained to the organisers, who issued a generic response thanking her for the feedback. The she decided to contact her bank to try and get a refund, which she successfully obtained.
“I would absolutely not recommend it to anyone,” the mum told the M.E.N, summing up her experience.
