An investigation is underway after the body of a male was found outside a property in Birmingham.
West Midlands Police and West Midlands Fire Service were called to a house on Yardley Wood Road just after 2pm when they made the grim discovery.
Here are the full details of everything we know so far about the shocking incident.
What has happened and when ?
West Midlands Police officers were called to an address on Yardley Wood Road, just after 2pm on Tuesday.
They immediately launched an investigation and have cordoned off the scene.
According to images taken from the scene, a blue police tent has been placed outside a property in order to shield it from public view.
A door was also taken off the hinges and placed outside.
What have West Midlands Police said ?
“We’re investigating after the body of a man was found outside an address on Yardley Wood Road, Birmingham, shortly after 2pm this afternoon (24 Feb).
“The man’s death is currently being treated as unexplained and we are carrying out further enquiries.”
What did West Midlands Fire Service say ?
When contacted, the fire service said it was a police matter and referred all enquiries back to them.
Any road diversions?
Traffic is running fine with no disruptions. Pedestrians are not being allowed past the investigation site.
The incident is close to shops and Billesley Common.
