Dutch authorities have launched an urgent search for a British tourist who went missing at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol after telling friends he had forgotten his passport.
Ryan Jones, 34, was last seen around 2:17pm on May 4 at the bustling international airport. He had been travelling with friends when he informed them he didn’t have his travel documents and would need to leave to retrieve them.
After walking away from the group, Ryan reportedly made a brief phone call to his friends shortly afterwards.
Since then, there has been no contact, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
Concerned by his sudden disappearance, Dutch police have issued a public appeal for information. Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen Ryan to come forward and assist with the search.
Ryan is described as a “large man,” standing 6 feet 3 inches tall. He may have been wearing a white baseball cap at the time and has a distinctive tattoo on his right forearm.
Anyone with information about Ryan Jones’ location or who may have seen him near the airport or the surrounding area is urged to contact Dutch police immediately.
