His ninth professional fight incredibly came on a card put together by Mayweather’s most famous rival Manny Pacquiao in New York.
The supremely skilled American took on Flores as he looked to make another statement in front of the intimate crowd.
Moton hadn’t fought for nine months, the longest lay-off of his career so far, as he looked to start off a planned active 2026.
And he did exactly that blasting out Flores in a quickfire victory, with his fellow countryman proving no match.

It was clear from the opening bell that Moton wasn’t here to hang around, letting his hands go with real purpose from the opening bell.
Some crippling body shots were hitting the target at will and Flores was struggling desperately to try and escape the relentless attack.
The decisive moment then came at the end of the second period as Moton stepped forward and unloaded with blended combinations that never faltered.
Flores was wobbling with his legs completely gone but luckily the ropes prevented him from falling before the bell sounded.
Although surviving, Flores was on borrowed time and was covered in blood as he returned to his corner.
He then decided with his training staff to throw in the towel and end the punishment.
It was just the second time Flores had been stopped and a real promising stoppage for the mercurial talent, Moton.
What next for Moton?
Moton is hoping for an active year to boost his experience and is confident he can take to the ring four times.
But one of his main objectives will be to land on the blockbuster second event between Mayweather and Pacquiao in Las Vegas on September 19.
The event will be historic and will see Mayweather stake his professional record with millions of eyes to descend on The Sphere.
On a place on the card, Moton said: “September at the Sphere that is crazy.
“There is a good chance I can be on the undercard. Hopefully I can get on the undercard.
“I’m hoping to lure a big name into the ring, like a Filipino guy. Any other prospect, the Mayweather team vs the Pacquiao team.”
