The UCI Cyclocross World Cup will return to the UK in 2026 as the series comes to Glasgow on Saturday 13th December 2026. Set to be the most northerly round of cyclocross’s premier series, the Scottish city will see the sport’s top riders, including Scotland’s own Cameron Mason, clash on a circuit around Kelvingrove Park.
The last time the World Cup came to the UK was in 2014, when the event was held in Milton Keynes. Since then, the UK has been missing from the calendar, although an Irish round was briefly added in the early 2020s. After 12 years, Britain will welcome the sport once again, this time for the first appearance on Scottish mud.
Glasgow will be the third stop in the 2026-27 World Cup, which will start in Czechia in late November, in a lineup alongside iconic venues in Dendermonde, Benidorm and Koksijde in the season-long contest won by world champions Mathieu van der Poel and Lucinda Brand earlier this year.
Kelvingrove Park to host the race

The circuit will be centred around Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow’s West End. The park has a strong sporting history, having hosted the UCI Road World Championships in 2023 and the bowls events at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, but this will be its first foray into cyclocross.
With its blend of hills and postcard backdrops, namely the University of Glasgow and the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, the course will be revealed in further detail later this year. However, expect there to be some bumps throughout, with the ramp to Park Circus likely to feature in the race.

The cyclocross race will come in the same year that Glasgow welcomes the Commonwealth Games for the second time, just before Scotland takes on the role of hosting the opening stage of the 2027 Tour de France the following summer.
