A man and a woman have been charged with murdering a five-week old baby in Staffordshire.
Police were called to an incident in Hudson Drive in Burntwood on Sunday, March 27, 2022.
The baby died in hospital two days later, on Tuesday March 29.

Now Sean Jefferson, 34, of Walsall Road, Walsall, and Amy Leigh Clark, 33, of Enots Close in Lichfield, have been charged with murder.

They have both also been charged with causing/allowing the death of a child and two counts of Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and three counts of causing/allowing a child to suffer serious physical harm.

Staffordshire Police said: “A man and a woman have been charged with murder after the death of a five-week-old baby.
“Sean Jefferson, 34, of Walsall, and Amy Leigh Clark, 33, of Lichfield, have been charged with murder, causing/allowing the death of a child and two counts of Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent.
“They have also been charged with three counts of causing/allowing a child to suffer serious physical harm.
“They both appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Friday (2 May) were remanded into custody.
“They are due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 11 June.”
