A man was taken to hospital after he was stabbed during a suspected road rage incident.
The victim was knifed in his arm and shoulder on Stechford Road, Yardley, around 11.45am today, Tuesday, May 6.
He was taken to hospital where his injuries were not said to be life threatening.
West Midlands Police closed the road in both directions as officers carried out investigation work.
It said in a statement: “We’re investigating after a man received stab injuries following a suspected road rage incident on Stechford Road, Yardley, at around 11.45am.

“The man suffered wounds to his arm and shoulder and was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.”
National Express West Midlands said the Number 95 bus was on diversion in both directions via Washwood Heath Road, Coleshill Road and Stechford Road.
Traffic provider Inrix said: “Stechford Road in both directions closed, slow traffic due to accident investigation work between A4040 Stechford Lane and Beaufort Avenue.
“Congestion to surrounding routes including Stechford Lane, Coleshill Road and Bromford Lane.”

Police said: “Witnesses or anyone with any information is being urged to contact us via Live Chat on our website or by calling 101 quoting log number 1937 of 6 May.
“Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service did not attend the incident.
