The Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch is receiving a new update, software version 4.5.3.3. This release shares many similarities with the recent version 4.5.3.3 firmware update for the T-Rex 3 Pro. It arrives around a month after the last release for this wearable, which brought map-related changes.

With software version 4.5.3.3, reported on 4PDA, Amazfit T-Rex 3 users are getting an offline route planning tool. Available via the smartwatch’s Map app, you can choose to create a route from your location to a chosen destination or in a loop, with an automatic rerouting functionality. Plus, these watches also now support Recreational Diving, an activity which can be found by going to Workout > More workouts > Diving.

Zepp Health states that the Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch software version 4.5.3.3 optimizes the depth algorithm used for Outdoor Freediving and Indoor Freediving workouts. The algorithm behind the BioCharge energy level monitoring tool is said to have been enhanced. There are also changes to the turn reminder page, shown when using route navigation during a workout. On top of this, there are bug fixes for Freediving depth charts and crashes during ultra-long outdoor workouts.

Software version 4.5.3.3 appears to be rolling out in phases to users of the Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch (curr. $279 at Amazon Marketplace). It is unclear when this rollout will be complete. When the update is available in your region, you will be able to install it via the Zepp App.
