A champion strongman was at the centre of a police alert amid claims he confronted two cousins parked near his home.
Eddie Hall, a former winner of the The World’s Strongest Man, admitted on social media: “We all see red” as he responded to an account of the reported incident.
Police were looking into what happened after two fans filmed Hall reportedly appearing to threaten them close to his Staffordshire home on Monday, May 5.

Callum Cadwallader and Kevin Walker said they pulled up outside Hall’s address after enjoying a birthday meal nearby as one of their children was a ‘fan’ of the muscleman, nicknamed The Beast.
In the footage, Hall appeared to confront the drivers who were in two separate cars outside his home.
He seemed to tell them to “f*** off” before racing towards one of the cars.
Hall was recorded saying: “I’ll f****** do you all, f*** off.”
He then appears to sprint towards the vehicle: “Hey, get out, get out you f****** p****.
“I’ll f****** rip your head, I’ll twist your f****** head off.
“All of you get out, I’ll f****** rip your heads off.”

Callum and Kevin said they had driven to see Hall’s house as Kevin’s step-son was a big fan, StokeonTrentLive reports.
They had been out for a meal at a nearby pub to celebrate his tenth birthday. Callum was travelling with his pregnant girlfriend and two children in the back of his car.
He claimed Hall’s wife asked them to move away from the front of the house.
The 25-year-old, from Fenton, said: “We’d been out for a birthday meal. He lives around the corner so we thought we’d whizz past.
“We visited the home at 8.26pm.
“At 8.31pm his wife came out and asked us to move up the street as she said we were scaring the kids. We said that’s fine and moved up.
“I was having a cigarette when out of nowhere the car door flies open.”
Callum claimed Hall had his dog with him and opened his car door before swearing at him.
He said: “I thought it was a joke at first. I was furthest ahead with my cousin behind.
“I thought my cousin had put him up to it to stitch me up. He swung the door open and swears at me.
“I told him I had kids in the back and my girlfriend was pregnant. I had no intention of recording but after that I started recording.”
The footage posted online by Callum only showed part of the incident and it was not clear what happened earlier.
Callum said: “He said my cousin had threatened to knock him out. I’m not being funny, he’s a small guy – he’s not going to do that.
“His kids were screaming in the back.”
Kevin said his step-son, who is autistic, was a big fan of Hall before the incident.
He said: “He’s always searching for him on YouTube. We’ve only recently been going to the pub hoping we would bump into him.
“He asked if we could see his house. He’s fascinated by the gates.
“We sat there for three or four minutes while my partner took a call.
“His wife came out and she politely asked can you move further up as the kids were scared.
“He then came out of an alleyway with the dog and went to Callum’s car.
“Then he came raging at me. I said I hadn’t come to cause trouble.
“I think he saw Callum filming. We didn’t go there to do a video. It only started after he ragged Callum’s door open.”
Last night, Hall posted a statement on Kevin’s social media.
He wrote: “It is 9pm and you and two other cars pull up beeping their horns outside the house.
“You woke my young children up and they became very scared.
“You were asked very politely to leave after waiting outside my house for 15 minutes.
“You continued to wait outside my house scaring my kids to death so here I am asking you again to leave and you filmed the last 30 seconds of our interaction when you’ve been outside the property for a total of 25 minutes.
“If you think harassing my house and waking my kids up at 9pm at night is acceptable then you’re not reasonable human beings.
“We all see red when it comes to protecting our families, especially when it comes to young children and my house is not a public attraction and I am not public property to use as a photo shoot at 9pm at night.
“I am deeply sorry for upsetting your children.
“But you cannot treat me like a piece of meat.
“I have a life and a right to a private one, especially where my children live.”
In a comment on the same Facebook post, Hall’s wife Alexandra said: “You sat outside our gate, for a long time, our private home, scaring our children.
“I came out to you and politely explained this myself. But you refused to leave.
“We feel like we live in a goldfish bowl.
“People knock on our house, drive past, shout, beep every 30 minutes – how do you think that makes our children feel?
“No this isn’t the price of fame, it’s stalking, it’s scary, it’s intimidating, and it’s not fair.
“This is a dad protecting his babies.”
Staffordshire Police said: “We were called to an address in Newcastle-under-Lyme at 8.55pm on Monday, May 5 following reports of an assault.
“A man approached a car that was parked nearby and shouted at the driver.
“It is reported that the man tried to open the door of the car when it started to drive away.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to get in touch by calling 101 or using Live Chat on our website, quoting incident 678 of May 5.”
StokeonTrentLive has approached Hall’s representatives for a statement.
