This looks another fine opportunity for IT’S TIM to continue his progress and he can complete the four-timer under a 10lb penalty. The selection clipped heels on the turn for home at Chelmsford five days ago but still won easily and can take the rise in grade in his stride. Lechuga Lad (second choice) will need to settle but remains unexposed and the step up in trip may be able to bring about some improvement, while Lednikov is also respected but is now 8lb above his last winning mark.

Mahogany Bay has contested a couple of decent maidens, showing more from the front on her Newmarket comeback three weeks ago, and is considered, but the two previous winners make more appeal under penalties. Bela Sonata won readily at Kempton for a yard in good form, having been well backed, and should appreciate the longer trip, but there was a lot to like about CALLISTO DREAM’s soft-ground debut win last backend and she shades it.

Romantic Spirit has a fair chance of completing a C&D hat-trick, albeit in a deeper race and closely matched with old rival Silent Affair on revised terms. Westlain should appreciate the stiffer test now he’s handicapping but YELLOW CARD looked an unlucky loser at Bath last time and can make amends for his in-form yard.

Adelaide Bay won at Chelmsford after a gelding operation but proved disappointing at Southwell 17 days later and isn’t helped by a wide draw on this occasion, while Take The Boat (second choice) has been in good form and is once again respected having been raised 4lb for her most recent success. The step up in trip looks likely to suit SNOW CREEK, who shaped with encouragement in a qualifying run here over 5f and posted a solid effort on his handicap debut at Newcastle last time. He is taken to get off the mark, with Dream Illusion and Prima Diva also capable of better.

She comes with risks attached, due to her tendency to miss the break, but MISS DANDYLION looks capable of winning off this mark when things do eventually drop right. Habitual slow-starter Boujee Gold comes into this in good form and is another to respect, while Brinton (second choice) boasts a good C&D record and looks likely to give her running again.

Sibyl Charm did well to finish as close as she did ten days ago and wind surgery has clearly helped, but another furlong would have been preferable round here. Rift Valley remains open to improvement, but so too does COORAMOOK (nap), who bumped into one at Yarmouth and makes plenty of appeal off the same mark.
