A 15-year-old male has been arrested after an alleged serious assault in the north of the capital. Armed police attended a property on Lower Granton Road in response to a disturbance.
At around 2.55am on Saturday March 7, locals reported seeing a heavy police presence in the area. Emergency services raced to the scene and a 22-year-old man was rushed to hospital.
Capital officers are continuing the investigate the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.25am on Saturday, March 7, 2026, we were called to Lower Granton Road in Edinburgh following a report of a serious assault.
“Emergency services attended and a 22-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Officers, including firearms officers, attended a property nearby and a 15-year-old male was arrested in connection.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
