Stacey & Joe, the BBC reality series focusing on Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, will return for a second season.

The six-part series follows the married couple as they raised their “children, four ducks and two dogs” at their home of Pickle Cottage, with the reality show offering a “refreshing, honest take on their modern blended family.”

Following a successful first season, the BBC has confirmed that Stacey & Joe has been renewed for a second season, with filming set to begin once more at Pickle Cottage later this year.

The upcoming batch of episodes will reportedly follow the pair as they continue to “manage their busy work lives and passion projects”, with a trip and “milestone” family moments also being featured.

“The biggest thank you to every single person who watched the first series of Stacey & Joe,” said the pair in a statement. “We’ve been so grateful for all the lovely messages and we’re so excited to bring out another series with the BBC.”

“It’s been great to see how viewers have taken Stacey, Joe, their kids and beloved pets to their hearts and series two will continue to honestly reflect their bustling lives at Pickle Cottage,” she concluded.

Charlotte Brookes, Head of Popular Factual at Optomen, also shared a statement, saying: “We’re thrilled with how Series 1 performed and delighted to be able to continue filming the next chapter for Stacey and Joe, and their ever-growing family at Pickle Cottage.”

Following the announcement, Stacey shared a video via Instagram Stories as she settled down to watch the finale from the first season, remarking: “It’s gone so quickly! It feels like only yesterday that we were pooing ourselves about it [the show] coming out.

“But I just wanted to come on here quickly before it goes out and say thank you. Your messages and comments about the show have been so lovely… I’m so glad that you enjoyed it. That’s all we ever wanted from it – to make people smile. Thank you.”
