Hit West End show Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre is extending its London run.
Based on the Netflix series, Stranger Things: The First Shadow is now booking in the West End until 2 August 2026, adding more dates for June and July.
The show is now in its third year in London, and recently welcomed a new cast including Jack Christou (Matilda The Musical) as Henry Creel, and Stewart Clarke (Les Misérables) as Dr Brenner.
They are joined by Avril Maponga (Witness for the Prosecution) as Patty Newby, Max Potter (A Monster Calls) as Bob Newby, Adam Wadsworth (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) as James Hopper Jr. and Edie Wright (Stranger Things: The First Shadow) as Joyce Maldonado, Maximilian Graham as Alan Munson, Anastasia Koloko as Sue Anderson, Joshua McElroy as Lonnie Byers, Grace Alice Murray as Claudia Yount, Tom O’Brien as Ted Wheeler, Freya Taylor-Lester as Karen Childress, Andrew Whipp as Chief Hopper, Ammar Duffus as Charles Sinclair, Jack Gardner as Walter Henderson, Andy Langtree as Victor Creel, Lauren O’Neil as Virginia Creel and Rufus Wright as Principal Newby.

Stranger Things: The First Shadow is directed by Stephen Daldry and co-directed by Justin Martin. The show is written by Kate Trefry (Netflix’s Stranger Things), and has an original story by Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers, award-winning writer Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), and Kate Trefry.
The London production won an Olivier Award for Best Entertainment at the 2024 Olivier Awards, and also scored three Tony Awards on Broadway.
London’s theatre critics loved the show when it first opened, giving Stranger Things fantastic four or five star reviews.
The Stranger Things live stage show is also playing on Broadway at the Marquis Theatre in New York, and last month was filmed for a forthcoming Netflix release.
