Hundreds of cannabis plants have been seized during a drug raid in Bristol.

The warrants were carried out on Foundry Lane, Speedwell on March 5 and 6 following a vehicle search and the arrest of Ellis Kow in Kingswood last Thursday.

Searches were carried out at three units, with one containing a grow of more than 300 cannabis plants.

Several vacuum-packed bags of cannabis and growing equipment were seized from another unit.

Kow, aged 25 and of Courtney Way, Kingswood, was arrested at his home and a vehicle was then subsequently searched. A rifle, ammunition, cash and quantities of cocaine and heroin were seized from the car.

Kow has been charged with:

  • Two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (cocaine and heroin)
  • Possession with intent to supply class B (cannabis), production of cannabis
  • Possession of criminal property
  • Possession of a firearm
  • Possession of ammunition

He appeared at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, March 7 and pleaded guilty to all offences.

Kow has been remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on April 7.
