There’s a new store opening this week at The Fort and shoppers are excited.
What’s more, there will be free gifts for the first 500 people through the doors.
The new Skechers store is said to be ‘massive’ and the store opening will feature a live DJ and a chance for people to spin the wheel for prizes and discounts.

The grand launch takes place at The Fort shopping park in Erdington on Friday March 13 at 10am.
Birmingham comedians JvandBiggss announced details of the opening on Instagram: “New store opening with 500 free giveaways at The Fort Birmingham!
“Friday 13, 10am, the new massive Skechers opens and the first 500 people get a free gift.”

They added: “I’ve heard they’ve got to spin the wheel on the day and they can win big prizes and discounts.
“And there’s live music, bringing all the energy.
“But here’s the thing, once the 500 gifts are gone, they’re gone.
“So, the real question is, are you going to be coming here early? Don’t be number 501.
“Skechers The Fort Birmingham, Friday 13, 10am, be there.”
People have reacted with excitement. One said: “Defo gonna be number one.”
Another added: “We need to go The Fort Birmingham Friday for this.”
However, one had an alternative suggestion: “We need a Zara not a Skechers.”

The retail park is ideal for those who don’t want to battle the traffic into the city centre or pay hefty parking charges.
Parking is free here and there are plenty of spaces, plus it’s just off junction six of the M6 motorway, making it easy to reach from suburbs across the region.
