Germany-based GBA Group, a leading independent TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) provider of bio-analytical laboratory services in the DACH region, has acquired a majority stake in Johner Institut GmbH (Johner Institute), expanding its position as a leading European platform for medical device services.
For GBA Group, the addition of Johner Institute strengthens its regulatory and technological competence in the field of medical devices and expanding its range of services, especially in consulting and training.
“With the Johner Institute, we are not only gaining proven regulatory expertise, but also entrepreneurial innovation in the future field of MedTech,” explains Steffen Walter, CEO of the GBA Group. “Johner Institute stands for absolute MedTech expertise in connection with product development, regulatory compliance, software and AI and will play a decisive role in shaping the development of our global platform GBA Group MedTech Solutions in the future.”
