King Street turned into ‘Queen Street’ this March as Pall Mall Medical took to the streets of Manchester to celebrate the ‘queens in your life’.

Asking Mancunians who their queen is

Stopping shoppers, workers and city-goers in the heart of the city centre, Pall Mall Medical, based on King Street in Manchester, invited people to pause and reflect on a simple but meaningful question: who is the queen in your life?

From mums and sisters to friends, aunties and mentors, Mancunians were encouraged to share the women who inspire them most and the stories behind why they deserve to be crowned a queen.

The activation was part of the private healthcare and cosmetic surgery provider’s ‘queens in your life’ campaign, dedicated to celebrating all of the special women who help shape and support those around them.

The new Queen Street sign for Mother’s Day

While Mother’s Day is centred around celebrating mothers, many are empowered and supported by women who play a different role in our lives.

For some, it might be a sister who is always there when it matters most. For others, it could be a grandmother full of wisdom, a best friend who has stood beside them through life’s challenges, or a mentor who helped them grow in confidence.

Throughout the day, Pall Mall and I Love Manchester spoke to passers-by on the newly crowned ‘Queen Street,’ capturing heartfelt tributes as people reflected on the women they admire most.

There was also plenty of fun along the way. Participants were invited to spin the wheel for a chance to win some lovely prizes, including affirmation jewellery from Soul Analyse.

Dr Khattak, GP at Pall Mall Medical

Dr Khattak, GP at Pall Mall Medical said: “Mother’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate mums, but it’s also important to recognise the many women who support, inspire and uplift us throughout our lives; all year round.

“As a doctor working in women’s health, I see every day how important it is that women feel valued, supported and confident in looking after their wellbeing. Whether it’s a mother, sister, friend or mentor, these relationships can have a powerful impact on our health, confidence and overall wellbeing.”
