Holly Ramsay and new husband Adam Peaty enjoyed a date night in Edinburgh at her dad Gordon Ramsay’s popular restaurant. The couple, who wed on December 27 last year, were out in the capital on Friday night.

Adam is currently competing in 100m and 50m swimming race in Edinburgh, and took a break to dine with Holly at Gordon’s Bread Street Kitchen and Bar. Holly, 26, posted some snaps of their dinner to Instagram.

Adam, 31, went for a burger and chips while Holly enjoyed a chicken poke bowl. This comes after a ‘chaotic’ wedding for the pair.

Holly Ramsay was mobbed by photographers as she arrived alongside her father Gordon back in December. After popping the question last year, three-time Olympic champion swimmer Peaty tied the knot with Ramsay at Bath Abbey with a star-studded guest list including David and Victoria Beckham, celebrity chef Marcus Wareing and TV presenter Dan Walker.

Issues within the family are understood to have stemmed from Adam’s mother Caroline not being invited to Holly’s hen-do, , meaning Peaty’s sister Bethany was the only member of his family to attend the wedding, where she served as a bridesmaid.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, published on the morning of the wedding, Caroline said: “I don’t think they understand how much they have hurt me; it’s as if they have cut my heart out.

“This is the first Christmas that I’ve not had my family together – my family is broken. Yes, I have my other grandchildren. Yes, I have my other children, but my family is split because of the goings on…because of the wedding.”

She added: “Me going would just cause even more of a storm and I don’t want to ruin his wedding day. I wanted to be there quietly to watch him get married, but that can’t happen now.

“I don’t know if they are too young or don’t value family as much as I have, but they don’t understand that family is the foundation to everything. Family is the foundation you can return to when things get rough. I’ve had that throughout my life.”

The couple’s wedding preparations made headlines with a bitter family fallout on Peaty’s side seeing him ban all but one member of his family from attending the ceremony. With so much attention around the wedding and the famous faces attending, there was unsurprisingly a huge press presence outside the abbey as the bride arrived, heavily flanked by security.

In February, the Ramsays unveiled their six-part documentary on Netflix. It flows Gordon’s journey opening new restaurants in London, and a behind-the-scenes look at the family.
