An urgent search is underway following a report of two young sisters from the Knightswood area of Glasgow going missing.

Police Scotland are appealing to the public in a bid to trace the whereabouts of Tia Rae, 14, and 11-year-old Allaska Gillespie. The sisters were last seen near to Chaplet Avenue around 4.05pm on Friday, March 13, and said they were making their way to Elder Park in Govan.

Since then, the girls have not been seen or heard from. Tia Rae is approximately 5ft 4inches tall, of a petite build, with long brown hair and a fair complexion.

She was wearing a cream hooded top with the words ‘New York’ on the front, cream jogging bottoms and black Adidas trainers with three white stripes. Allaska is around 4ft8 in height, has dark brown/black long hair, and is of average build.

She was wearing a white hooded top, black jogging bottoms and black Nike ‘Dunks’ trainers. Sergeant David Osborne, Drumchapel Police Station, said: “The girls were last seen in on Friday afternoon when they said they were heading to Elder Park in Govan.

“Since then. they have not been seen nor heard from. Due to their age, the inclement weather and that fact they have not been in touch with anyone, we are appealing to friends or family to get in touch if they have seen them or may know where they are.

“If you have any details about where they may be, please contact police via 101 and quote incident number 2623 of Friday, 13 March 2026.

“We’d also ask Tia Rae and/or Allaska to get in touch so we can make sure they are safe and well.”
