The 25 metre, four-lane facility is being built as part of an expansion at the town’s Sports and Fitness Centre on Trap Lane.
It will mark the first time in more than a decade that swimming facilities are available in the town.
The pool will replace the pavilion that was previously occupied by Little Angels Pre-School, which has since moved to Fakenham Rugby Club.

Photos posted to North Norfolk District Council’s Facebook page showed that internal works for the changing area and ducting were under way.
Everyone Active, operators of the centre, described the pool as “a long-awaited return of swimming amenity to the town”.
The project will also involve a revamp of the fitness facilities to include a 50-station gym and exercise studios.
It is said to cost around £11m, with the majority of the funding coming from government grants, such as the Levelling Up Fund.
Work on the site is expected to finish by December 2026.
