A man’s body has been pulled from the River Clyde in Glasgow.
Emergency crews raced to the Clyde Street area after being alerted to a report of concern for a person at around 6.45am on Wednesday.
Pictures from the scene shared by the Record earlier today showed a large area at the Broomielaw taped off.
Uniformed officers could be seen standing guard beside the cordon, with a sign warning members of the public that divers were in the water.

Around six police vehicles were seen parked nearby as members of the public gathered on a nearby footbridge.
Sadly, police have now confirmed that the body of a man was later recovered from the river.
The death is being treated as unexplained but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.45am on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, we received a report of concern for a person near Clyde Street in Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and a search was carried out. The body of a man was later recovered from the River Clyde.
“The death is being treated as unexplained but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
