England manager Thomas Tuchel names his latest squad this morning ahead of friendlies against Uruguay and Japan at Wembley. The German coach is expected to recall at least one Manchester United player, with Kobbie Mainoo, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw all in the frame thanks to the Red Devils’ improved Premier League form. Trent Alexander-Arnold of Real Madrid is another hoping to be included in the group.
The right-back hasn’t been in an England squad since last June but is fully fit again. His team-mate Jude Bellingham could also join the Three Lions squad despite being injured since the start of February. Even if Bellingham is unable to play, Tuchel is thought to want the senior players headed to this summer’s World Cup in and around the camp over the next fortnight.
