Celtic have got big calls to make in the striker department this summer.
Kyogo Furuhashi left Celtic in January, and it opened a door nobody expected to be opened, including for Brendan Rodgers.
The powers that be didn’t replace Kyogo in the winter, mainly because a replacement couldn’t be found, so nobody panicked.
Celtic have still clinched the title, including being on course for the Treble, with Aberdeen standing in their way ahead of the Scottish Cup final.
But will Celtic change their minds ahead of the transfer window re-opening? Because of Daizen Maeda’s transformation, including the option of Adam Idah.

Everyone knows Celtic have money in the kitty, plenty of it, but given the platform Scotland’s most successful club plays on, then they can’t pay the wages the top clubs in Europe pay their stars.
But Pat Bonner feels that a record-breaking deal could still be on the cards, with Arne Engels being Celtic’s record purchase at £11 million.
The legendary goalkeeper has backed the champions of Scotland to pay ‘£15 million’ for a striker in the summer because he feels the club ‘could go that high’, as he told BBC Radio Scotland.
“The European campaign probably said to people, ‘Celtic is a good place to go, a good team to go to, they are in a European competition and I will take my chance with that’,” said Bonner.
“And if they can pay them the money to bring them here. They have spent £9 million, at the moment, on that player. Arne Engels £11 million.
“They could go that high at £15 million. Just to get that out-and-out one that’s going to bag goals.
“But they have to do it. They have to get somebody in there. They can’t just rely on putting Maeda in there, and Adam Idah, who is young enough and scored against Rangers. I don’t know whether Adam needs something alongside him to help him. I am not sure.”
Celtic’s top scorers this season
Celtic have netted 103 goals in the Premiership this term, 15 in the Champions League, 14 in the Scottish Cup and 17 on their way to the League Cup in December.
The players have also spread their goals around, with Nicolas Kuhn being the top player during the first half of the season, and then Maeda taking over in 2025.
