In a casting coup for the concert, Jamie Muscato (One Day The Musical, The Great Gatsby) will star as the Phantom, with Celinde Schoenmaker (Guys & Dolls) returning to the role of Christine Daaé following the Theatre Royal Drury Lane concert in 2023.

The production will be directed by Shaun Kerrison, who also helmed the sold-out 2023 Drury Lane staging.

Love Never Dies In Concert coming to the London Palladium this October

Love Never Dies has music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Glenn Slater, and a book by Lloyd Webber, Ben Elton, Frederick Forsyth, and Glenn Slater. The show is loosely based on Frederick Forsyth’s novel ‘The Phantom of Manhattan’.

The story of Love Never Dies continues a decade after the Phantom’s disappearance from the Paris Opera House, as he resurfaces on Coney Island and once again crosses paths with Christine, now a world-renowned soprano and mother.

The Telegraph has previously described the show as “one of the greatest of all Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals,” with musical numbers including ’Til I Hear You Sing, The Beauty Underneath, and the title track Love Never Dies.

More about Love Never Dies in production

Love Never Dies premiered at the West End’s Adelphi Theatre in London in March 2010 starring Ramin Karimloo as the Phantom, Sierra Boggess as Christine, Joseph Millson as Raoul, Liz Robertson as Madame Giry, Summer Strallen as Meg Giry, and Niamh Perry as Fleck.

Previous revivals of the musical include an Australian production in 2011, which was captured on film and released in UK cinemas last year. The show starred Ben Lewis as the Phantom and Anna O’Byrne as Christine Daaé.

Other previous international productions of the show include a Danish production in 2012; Japanese productions in 2014, 2019 and 2025; a German production in 2015; and a US touring production in 2017.

A planned world tour of the Australian production, which was set to start in the UK in 2020, was sadly postponed because of COVID.
