Jack Grealish has shown off his new hairstyle during Manchester City training this week.

Grealish has ditched the Alice band and opted to tie it back into a bun, much like teammate Erling Haaland. The chance to debut his new look on the pitch could come on Saturday afternoon when City take on Southampton.

He and Haaland will hope to feature after being unused substitutes during the 1-0 win over Wolves. But with this weekend’s Premier League match not being televised live, domestically, the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace at Wembley will be the big stage for Grealish’s bun to be revealed.

“New trim who disssss” the ex-Aston Villa playmaker captioned an Instagram post featuring a selection of photos from training on Wednesday. Haaland commented soon after to say: “Love it you.”

A-STAR barbers also added a comment with two fire emojis after previously sharing a video of the 39-cap England man having his hair cut late last month. “Rate this new look for Jack Grealish”, they captioned a post, punctuating it with a thumbs-up and thumbs-down emoji.

In the video, his hair goes into a short ponytail at the back, tied with a sky blue hairband. The blonde highlights are also gone, with it being an all-natural dark brown again.

Alongside comparisons to Haaland, it is also akin to Gareth Bale, while there is even a resemblance to when David Beckham had a similar look during his days at Real Madrid. Grealish will hope that the change of hairstyle coincides with a more regular place in the team as this season concludes.

He has been an unused substitute in the club’s last three Premier League games, only playing in their FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest. Grealish has gone over a month without a goal, as well, since opening the scoring against Leicester City in early April – which was his last top-flight start.
