Washington Police promote safety with internet exchange zone in secure lot

The Washington Police Department is raising awareness of an Internet Exchanges Safe Zone for in-person transactions.

The zone, designated by a sign, is located at the Washington Police Department Parking Lot at 251 Bridge St.

When anyone buys or sells items online, they can meet at this spot, which is under video surveillance at all times.

When buying or selling items online, safety should always come first- especially when meeting strangers in person. We encourage our community to take advantage of our Internet Exchange Safe Zone for in-person transactions.
