A busy Glasgow road is set to close for nearly a week, with drivers urged to plan alternative routes ahead of the works.
Dumbarton Road, between Byres Road and west of its junction with Hyndland Street, will be closed to all vehicular traffic to allow for essential carriageway resurfacing works.
The closure will be in place from 8 am on Sunday, March 29, until 8 pm on Friday, April 3, 2026. Local access to Dumbarton Road will be permitted via its junction with Crow Road/Rosevale Street throughout the duration of the works.

Diversions will be in operation for affected drivers. Eastbound traffic will be directed via Byres Road, Highburgh Road, Hyndland Road, and Clarence Drive before rejoining Crow Road, with the diversion operating in reverse for westbound traffic.
Glasgow City Council said drivers are advised to avoid the area during the above periods and plan their journeys accordingly.
