Switzerland based Axpo and McDonald’s Spain have signed a ten-year solar power purchase agreement. The deal will supply up to 83 GWh of solar electricity annually. Power will come from Axpo’s 200 MWp solar complex in León, Spain. The project includes four photovoltaic plants of 50 MW each. Energy will support more than 660 McDonald’s restaurants across Spain. ZConsultores Energéticos supported structuring of the agreement. The PPA is expected to begin supply from the newly built solar facility.
