A “large industrial unit” is still being searched

Police have discovered a suspected drugs laboratory in a village near Bristol.
Class A and class B drugs, including cocaine and mephedrone were allegedly being made at the lab near Bitton in South Gloucestershire, with a list of suspects due in court.
The South West Regional Organised Crime Unit (SWROCU) led the bust and said six people were arrested in the early hours of yesterday morning (Thursday, March 26) following their investigation.
The following six people were charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs and conspiracy to produce a controlled drug of class B:
- Aaron Stevenson, 30, from St Mary’s-with-Summercombe, Brixham
- Callum Thorpe, 23, from Leigh, Greater Manchester
- Samual Oram, 39, from Cathays, Cardiff
- Abdul Laftah, 48, from Leek, Staffordshire
- Ian Boyle, 32, from Royston, Hertfordshire
- Simon Khan, 46, from Warmley, South Gloucestershire
They have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, March 28.
Police are continuing to search a large industrial unit in Bath Road. This is expected to take several days, SWROCU said.
