Police are appealing for help to find a man they would like to speak to after a mobile phone was reportedly robbed on Bold Street, Liverpool city centre, in May last year.

Police said the stolen phone was then used to purchase items. It is believed De-Pierre Nguessan, 25, from Southwark in London, may be able to help police with their enquiries.

Detective Constable Lee Hearne said: “This was a very distressing experience for the victim who was left in a state of shock and thankfully they were not injured.

“People visiting our city should be able to enjoy what it has to offer without fear of being subjected incidents like this.

“We would encourage Nguessan to contact us to help with our investigation.”

If you see you recognise Nguessan or know where he is, contact police via @MerPolCC on X, ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 with reference 24000413678.
