POP superstar Lorde is heading to Glasgow for a massive gig at the OVO Hydro later this year.

The Royals singer, 28, will take to the stage on November 19 as part of her Ultrasound World Tour.

It comes as the New Zealand-born star gears up to release her first album in four years, Virgin, on June 27.

Lorde will kick off her tour in the US, before hitting Paris and Luxembourg and then landing in the UK for shows in Manchester, London, and Glasgow.

She’ll wrap up the UK leg in Birmingham the next night.

Support acts for the Glasgow gig include indie rocker Nilufer Yanya and US singer-songwriter Jim-E Stack.

Scots fans flocked to social media to express their delight at the announcement.

One wrote: “If I don’t get tickets for Lorde Glasgow I will be so mad. I’ve been a diehard fan for years.”

Another said: “Lorde is coming to Glasgow. This is not a drill.”

Tickets go on presale at 10am on Thursday, May 14.

And the general sale will start at 10am on Friday, May 15.

Prices range from £47.90 to £126.25.

Meanwhile, elsewhere America rock band Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are also coming to Scotland for an exciting anniversary tour.

The ensemble, from San Francisco, California, will play Glasgow’s O2 Academy in December to celebrate two decades since the release of their third studio album Howl.
