Emmerdale fans have been left stunned after tonight’s hour long episode aired some shocking scenes with one villager finally taking revenge on Joe Tate. During Thursday night’s instalment of the ITV soap, Joe Tate, played by Ned Porteous, is seemingly pushed out of an upstairs window during Lydia’s party at Home Farm and is discovered face down on the ground below in a bloody glass shattered scene.
Joe has made many enemies for himself in recent weeks, having had an affair with Billy Fletcher’s wife Dawn and being the culprit behind the disastrous limousine crash which killed Leyla, Amy and Suzy after he drugged his half-brother Noah Dingle, who was behind the wheel.
He caused a storm when he returned to the Yorkshire Dales last year with a chronic kidney disease and would seemingly stop at nothing to seek a kidney transplant in secrecy. In an unforgivable move, he targeted teenager Noah, which resulted in his younger sibling being admitted to a private hospital.
Joe eventually decided to steal his uncle Caleb’s kidney instead. Following a planned stabbing, Caleb was taken to a clinic where his kidney was removed and given to Joe.

Meanwhile, Billy Fletcher is furious about Joe pursuing his wife Dawn, and Noah’s mother Charity Dingle also has an intense hatred for Joe after discovering the truth behind the tragic crash.
During tonight’s episode, Joe twists the knife a little further with Billy as he asks Dawn to dance with him during the party, unaware that Billy knows the truth about their affair after Clemmie told him she had seen them kissing.
Billy is forced to watch on and is furious to see Joe making a fool of him so publicly.
In separate scenes on tonight’s episode, Charity is determined to make Joe suffer after Ruby revealed he was the one that spiked Noah.
Noah realises his mother is up to something and she comes clean to him about the truth for her revenge plans and why she wants to target Joe.
The teen is left unsurprisingly horrified by the truth of Joe’s desperate quest for a kidney which saw the three women lose their lives.

Similarly, Amy’s mother, Kerry Wyatt is also out for blood after being told that Joe is responsible for her daughter’s death.
There are nine official suspects in the mystery of his fall including Noah, Kerry, Cain, Ruby, Caleb, Charity, Billy, Dawn and Clemmie have been named as the nine official suspects in the mystery.
But who decides to make Joe pay and will he survive?
