The France national team beat the Colombia national team 3-1 in a friendly played in the United States. Didier Deschamps’ side was superior for much of the match and settled the result convincingly.

The first goal came in the 28th minute of the first half, when Désiré Doué opened the scoring. Before halftime, in the 40th minute, Marcus Thuram made it 2-0 with a header from a cross from the right.

In the second half, France struck quickly again. In the 10th minute, Doué scored again to make it 3-0 and all but put the match away. Colombia reacted in the final stretch. In the 31st minute of the second half, Jaminton Campaz pulled one back after a move that was created following the introductions of Juan Fernando Quintero and Campaz himself.

Néstor Lorenzo’s team improved in the final minutes, but it wasn’t enough for them to get back into the game. France controlled the tempo, was more clinical, and claimed the win in a friendly that featured plenty of pace and chances.
