Iran fired a ballistic missile into Turkey before it was shot down by Nato.

Turkish defence ministry officials confirmed the missile had entered the country’s airspace before it was countered by Nato air defences deployed in the eastern Mediterranean.

The incident marked the fourth such incident since the start of the Iran war, following three earlier interceptions by Nato systems earlier this month that prompted Ankara to protest and warn Tehran.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has threatened to blow up Iran’s power and desalination plants as well as oil wells and Kharg Island unless a deal can be reached to ‘immediately’ reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Writing on his Truth Social platform, the President said the US is in ‘serious discussions’ with a ‘more reasonable regime’ to end the war, but said he will take action unless an agreement is made.

And a huge fire broke out at an Israeli oil refinery following a missile strike earlier today.

Footage captured by Israeli media shows flames bursting from the Bazan refinery in the port city of Haifa which has previously come under attack in the Iran war.

Trump threatens to end ‘lovely’ stay in Iran by blowing up oil wells and desalination plants

Donald Trump has threatened to blow up Iran’s oil wells and desalination plants unless a deal can be reached to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Writing on his Truth Social platform, the President said the US is in ‘serious discussions’ with a ‘more reasonable regime’ to end the war but said he will take action unless an agreement is made

‘Great progress has been made but, if for any reason a deal is not shortly reached, which it probably will be, and if the Hormuz Strait is not immediately “Open for Business,” we will conclude our lovely “stay” in Iran by blowing up and completely obliterating all of their Electric Generating Plants, Oil Wells and Kharg Island (and possibly all desalinization plants!), which we have purposefully not yet “touched,”’ Trump penned.

Safety of crew members aboard attacked Kuwait oil tanker has been ‘secured’

The Dubai Media Office has said that the safety of all 24 crew members ‘has been secured’ and that no injuries have been reported.

It added that firefighting operations were still underway after an incident ‘involving a drone’ caused a fire onboard and damage to the vessel.

The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation said the tanker had been fully loaded at the time of the incident and warned of a possible ⁠oil spill ​in surrounding waters.

Israel says it is reviewing reports of UN peacekeepers killed in Lebanon

The Israeli army said early Tuesday it is aware of reports regarding two instances in which United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon peacekeepers were killed.

The army said it is reviewing them to determine whether the deaths resulted from Hezbollah activity or Israeli fire, noting that ‘these incidents occurred in an active combat area.’

The statement comes after UNIFIL said three peacekeepers have been killed in southern Lebanon within 24 hours in two separate instances.

An explosion of ‘unknown origin’ on Monday destroyed a vehicle near the village of Bani Hayyan, killing two peacekeepers and wounding two others, including one with severe injuries.

Earlier, an Indonesian peacekeeper was killed after a base was hit by a projectile.

Breaking:Hezbollah claims 43 attacks on Israeli forces in last 24 hours

The Lebanese armed group says its fighters have launched 26 attacks on Israeli forces inside Lebanese territory, and 17 attacks in northern Israel over the past 24 hours.

According to a statement from the group, the targets included four military bases, eight settlements, one military barrack, and four newly established border posts.

Kuwait’s air defences currently confronting ‘hostile missile and drone attacks’

The army’s post on X said (in a translation):

The General Staff of the Army notes that if explosion sounds are heard, they are the result of air defense systems intercepting the hostile attacks.

Everyone is requested to adhere to the security and safety instructions issued by the competent authorities.

Saudi Arabia’s defense ministry says it downed three ballistic missiles

The ministry said the missiles were launched toward its capital, Riyadh.

Warning of possible oil spill after ‘giant’ tanker struck in Dubai port

Kuwait’s national state-owned oil company has warned of a possible oil spill after a tanker was hit while anchored in Dubai, according to state media.

Reuters, citing the KUNA news ‌agency, is reporting that Al Salmi, a ‘giant’ Kuwaiti crude oil vessel, was targeted by an Iranian attack, causing damage and a fire onboard.

The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation said the tanker had been fully loaded at the time of the incident and warned of a possible ⁠oil spill ​in surrounding waters.

Bahrain says sirens activated, people urged to ‘head to nearest safe place’

Bahrain’s Interior Ministry says sirens have been activated and called on people to remain calm and ‘head to the nearest safe place’.

Tanker struck by projectile off UAE, UKMTO says

A tanker has been hit by an ‘unknown projectile’ off the coast of the UAE, causing a fire on board, according to UK Maritime Trade Operations.

It said the projectile struck the starboard side of the vessel 31 nautical miles northwest of Dubai.

The crew is ‘accounted for and safe,’ and no environmental impact has been reported.

Four wounded after interception debris causes fire in Dubai

Emergency teams responded early Tuesday to a fire in an abandoned house in Al Badaa, a residential area in Dubai, after debris fell following an air defense interception, injuring four people, the Dubai Media Office said.

In Bahrain, authorities said warning sirens were sounded.
