A Gogglebox favourite has addressed whether a return is on the cards a decade after they quit the Channel 4 show

Manchester Gogglebox star teases return to Channel 4 show after quitting
A former Gogglebox star has spoken out about a possible return to the beloved programme — and fans are set to be absolutely delighted.
Scarlett Moffatt joined the Channel 4 show back in 2014 alongside her mum Betty and dad Mark. However, in 2016, Scarlett departed and went on to appear in — and triumph in — that year’s I’m A Celebrity series.
Since then, Scarlett has kept herself firmly in the spotlight. Having been crowned Queen of the Jungle, she went on to feature on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. She also claimed victory in the Strictly Christmas special in 2025.
On Thursday (April ), Scarlett appeared on This Morning to talk about her forthcoming stint on I’m A Celebrity South Africa. However, while on the ITV daytime programme, the conversation shifted to the subject of Gogglebox.

Co-host Alison Hammond asked Scarlett: “Would you ever do Celebrity Gogglebox?” Scarlett replied: “I would love that. I honestly would love that. I feel like the world would implode on itself if I went on that though because it’s proper full circle!”, reports the Mirror.
Dermot O’Leary then chimed in: “Get your mum and dad back,” as Alison added: “I wanna get your partner on it,” referring to Scarlett’s fiancé Scott Dobinson.
Scarlett said: “To be honest, Scott is the funniest person, he is so funny.” Then talking about a return, she added: “I don’t know. It was hard because back then you don’t meet the people you’re talking about on the telly.”

Scarlett is set to return to our screens as part of the I’m A Celebrity South Africa cast. She will feature alongside the likes of comedian Seann Walsh, boxer David Haye and TOWIE’s Gemma Collins.
When asked why she was keen to take part in the show once more, Scarlett recently told ITV: “I have everything to thank this show for. Doing Gogglebox was lovely, but I’m A Celebrity was the first programme I’d done on my own.”

Scarlett went on to say: “I am forever grateful to Ant and Dec. When I first moved to London, they were so lovely and asked me what I missed most about being away from home.
“I said, ‘Sunday dinners with the family’. So they invited me round a few times to have dinner.”
Gogglebox airs every Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.
