Flowers at the scene in Icknield Street, Hockley, after the death of a nine-year-old girl
Flowers have been left at the scene of a crash where a nine-year-old girl died in Birmingham.
The blooms were attached to a railing in Icknield Street, Hockley, near the spot where a two-car collision tragically claimed the life of the child on Thursday night (April 2)
A woman and two other children were with the victim in the car and taken to hospital.

Two men in a BMW were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drugs.
An update is expected from West Midlands Police regarding the two men who were arrested shortly.

The identity of the girl has not been published while officers currently support the victim’s family.
Today, April 5, flowers were left at the scene of the crash with a note.
It reads: “Heartfelt sympathy. They are at peace.
“We can never prepare for the grief of losing someone so special.”
West Midlands Police is seeking anyone who witnessed the collision or those with doorbell/dashcam footage to come forward.
