Part of a popular National Express West Midlands bus route was pulled due to anti-social behaviour.

The number 95 route was unable to pick up passengers from Longmeadow Crescent to Fordbridge Road in Shard End after thugs targeted buses on Wednesday evening (April 8).

NXWM said the issues were “recurring” and puts passengers and staff at risk.

A bus company spokesperson said: “The National Express West Midlands number 95 service is operating on the normal line of route, however a number of journeys were diverted last night due to recurring issues with anti-social behaviour targeted at buses.

“This type of behaviour is very dangerous and totally unacceptable.

“It puts our colleagues and passengers at risk and means customers can’t use a bus while we’re repairing the damage to our vehicles.”We work very closely with the Safer Travel police to identify those involved and bring them to justice.

“We may divert or terminate services early at short notice if it becomes necessary to protect the safety of our customers and our drivers. Customers should check x.com/nxwestmidlands for up-to-date information on any changes to services on the day.”
