The second season of At Home With The Furys on Netflix sees the former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury shopping for bargains, despite his huge fortune

Tyson Fury is set to pocket around £15 million from his upcoming fight with Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The former heavyweight world champion is said to be worth a cool £160 million thanks to all of his boxing triumphs.
However, at home, it seems the self-proclaimed Gypsy King enjoys a simple life shopping for bargains at Asda supermarket, refusing to throw out his well-worn clothes and even enjoying a cheeky McDonald’s. His private life is laid bare in the new – and second – season of his fly-on-the-wall series At Home With The Furys on Netflix.

It shows how, just like Del Boy, the 37-year-old boxer loves a bit of wheeling and dealing in everyday life as he loves to bag a bargain. Despite being worth multi-millions, he won’t ever throw anything away.
In one episode, viewers will see his wife Paris sew up a pair of his old trousers for the sixth time as he has ripped the crotch area yet again and she has a go at him pointing out that he can well afford to buy a new pair.
But he explains: “Why is everything about affording? I can afford a f***ing castle but I don’t wanna live in one. I like them pants. People used to sew everyday in the olden days and I am not a big waster.
“I shop in Asda for God’s sake. I do enjoy a deal whether it’s for 50 pence or 50 million. It’s just a part of who I am wheeling and dealing.”
Paris, 36, also reveals how the family have very simple tastes despite their wealth. After the pair stage a wedding vow renewal ceremony in the south of France, they sit down to a posh lunch in a luxury chateau.
But when they are served an amuse bouche by the chef to cleanse their palates, they all hate it. And she admits: “Our ever classy palates are not impressed. It was like the after taste. I swear I spat it out. Posh people’s food isn’t for me. I am down for a McDonald’s any day over that.”
The couple have seven children – Venezuela, 16, Prince, 13, Tyson II, eight, Valencia, six, Adonis, five, Athena, four, and Rico, two. And they admit they would love more. “I want ten,” he confesses.
Tyson is fully expecting that his boys (especially Prince) will all follow in his footsteps and become boxers. However, Paris is not keen and admits: “They’re better off out of the boxing. I don’t want to watch Adonis, who is six, have a spar!”
Tyson was born in Manchester and took up the sport when he was just ten years old. He began competing as a teenager and made his professional debut in the ring at the age of 20.
In his first fight in December 2008, he defeated Bela Gyongyosi from Hungary in the first round. Calling himself The Gypsy King – a nod to his traveller family roots – he went on to become the WBC heavyweight champion of the world . But in 2025, just months after losing a match against Ukrainian-born Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia, he decided to retire.

Despite looking like the hard man of the ring with his shaved head and tattoos, Tyson is a doting and loving father to his children.
But he admits he has often struggled in the role and sometimes takes a deliberate step back from parenthood because he believes Paris is a better parent. For him, she is the glue that keeps the whole family together. He says: “Some people are not cut out for looking after kids and I am one of them. I’d be f***ed if we got divorced.”
In the series, viewers will see how he upsets his 16 year old daughter Venezuela after he decides to become an influencer. She returns with her mum – full of beans and very excited – having taken part in a photo shoot to promote herself in the media. Tyson puts his foot in it by declaring that young people only want to become ‘famous’ without any effort or talent these days.
And he barks: “I am famous because I have been a two time world heavyweight champion. I have done a million thousand achievements. I can write a table full of them. We are just in an era where you can get famous for what? Getting your t*ts out on telly? Today’s people are not famous in reality. They have done nothing.”
And he hits the roof when he discovers his daughter has had a boyfriend called Noah Price whom she has not only kept secret from the family but also wants to marry her. After the pair finally meet, Tyson laughs: “He was absolutely sh***ing himself to meet me. I don’t know why. What was he expecting I was gonna do? Bite him?”
Viewers will also see Tyson struggle to communicate with his 13 year old son Prince who, like many young teens, is prone to strops and moods. The boxer tells him bluntly: “I sometimes think – is there anything in that mind of yours? Trying to get a conversation out of Prince is like trying to get a conversation out of an egg!”

Exhausted Paris confides: “Tyson is very chaotic with his parenting skills!”
But one thing is clear. He wants his children to enjoy adventures and experiences out in the real world – rather than through an iPhone or iPad screen. He says: “I like to get them out of the house, off the computers, off the phones, off all the sh*t of today and into the real world! A father is very important in children’s lives especially the sons. In our world, the mother teaches the daughters how to be women and the father teaches the sons how to be men.”
The documentary was filmed after Tyson decided to retire from the ring following his defeat against Usyk. He proclaims he is ‘happy’ being in retirement and enjoying more time with his family. But as the months pass, he is lured back into the sport – something that divides the family.
His little daughter Athena has him welling up with tears when she tells him in front of the cameras: “It makes me cry a bit because you are not boxing any more and it was your ambition. I think his whole career and dream was to be a boxer. Me mam thinks he has done enough boxing but I just think he should not give up.”
However his dad John, who was also a boxer, is not happy and says: “It’s like a drug for him.” Wife Paris adds: “That lunatic still wants to box. It is like an addiction to him.”
Tyson confesses that he tried to avoid boxing events because he would come face-to-face with the temptation of getting back in the ring. However when an offer to return did come his way, he could not refuse it. He explains: “Nothing could compare to what I do in boxing. It is a different experience going to watch a fight rather than do it yourself. This is why I don’t attend fights any more.
“If I go to boxing events and I am sat ringside and everything is good you feel like you wanna return. I can’t get over it. It is like being an alcoholic but always chilling out in a pub. How do you ever expect not to be an alcoholic? All the time the temptation is there. The millions of pounds offers. The big nights. The belts. It is all a temptation. If you are around that environment, around someone who is always talking millions or always talking big deals then more than likely you are gonna take a big deal. Impulsive decisions are very common for me.”
Tyson – who has had well-publicised mental health battles and is also bipolar – sensationally admits that whenever he won a boxing match, he ‘felt nothing’.

It was only when he lost, that he got emotional because he had suffered a defeat. Before he fought Usyk, he had depression as he wasn’t feeling anything And he actually thanks the Ukrainian for giving him his ‘mojo’ back by beating him.
He adds: “When you can do anything and have anything you want, you don’t appreciate nothing. All those wins I had, all the 17 years of being undefeated, it didn’t make me feel anything. I had no feeling.
“But when I lose I enjoyed that because I felt something for the first time in years. The loss I had to Usyk was heartbreaking . On the night I 100 per cent did not think they were going to give Usyk a decision. Because I didn’t believe I had lost it was like an emotional feeling. It was hard to take.
“If I had won them fights it would have been meaningless to me. But because I didn’t win them I felt something which I can identify now as a beautiful feeling.
“I have been all over the world. I have dined with kings and emperors and rulers of countries. But I am a man who sits here and wants nothing in life. But when you give up the passion to want…”
Paris interrupts him by completing the sentence with: “You give up the passion to live.” She admits that his revelations ‘frighten’ her as it takes her back to 2016. That was the time her husband was in a very dark place and suffered severe depression, alcoholism, and drug addiction which led to a near-fatal suicidal crisis when he nearly drove a Ferrari at 190 mph into a bridge.
She tells him bluntly in front of the TV cameras: “You frighten me when you talk like this. You are not right in the head. When you do all this dark talking I don’t like all that. Your head isn’t right and when you think all that stuff you get yourself into a depression.
“It’s taking me back to 2016 when he didn’t want to train or exercise or engage in life, asking what is the point in living why should he live, what is it all for? Alcoholism and drug abuse and coming home crying his eyes out.. asking what is the point in life.”
But he assures her: “But I am able to heal. I am not depressed. At least we are feeling something now. I have been unable to feel for a long time because nothing mattered to me at all. Now I can feel again. I need to thank Oleksandr for that to be fair.”

The second series ends with The Furys moving out of their home in Morecambe in Lancashire. Fans will be thrilled to know that Netflix has ordered a third season charting the next chapter in their lives which will no doubt include his fight against Makhmudov.
Despite their ups and downs, including Paris suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage two years ago, you can guarantee that they will still be together. Tyson proclaims that there are ‘no divorces in our culture’. And he proudly boasts: “We’ve been together for 20 years now. We argue every week but we stick it out!”
