Born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, Richard Kone made a name for himself representing his country at the 2019 Homeless World Cup.
In what turned into an impressive journey, the forward then joined ninth tier Athletic Newham in the Eastern Counties League Division One South.
Scoring more than 100 goals in three seasons, the youngster – deservedly so – earned a trial at League One side Wycombe Wanderers.
More success would see Kone sign his first professional contract with The Chairboys in January 2024 and go on to score 25 goals in 74 appearances.
Kone was named the Sky Bet League One Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season for the 2024/25 season.
The forward signed for QPR in August 2025 and since his arrival, he has netted ten goals and contributed with two assists in 40 appearances.
Second to Rumarn Burrell as the R’s top goalscorer and his most recent goals came in the form of a brace within a minute of each other in their 6-1 thrashing over Portsmouth.
Internationally, Kone received his first international call-up for the Ivory Coast Under-23s in May of this year.
